Your data, explained.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy explains how the TGDog browser extension and the official website at https://tgdog.wadesk.io handle data. TGDog is an independent tool for Telegram group moderation. The website provides product information and tutorials; it does not connect your bot or request your bot token.

2. Data used by the extension

• Bot token and connection settings: used to authenticate requests to Telegram’s Bot API.
• Messages and identifiers: message content and timestamps, message IDs, and relevant group and user IDs, used to evaluate enabled moderation rules.
• Rules and exemptions: group settings, keywords, detection thresholds, and administrator or whitelist exemptions.
• Evidence and execution records: rule matches, moderation actions, errors, and recovery status, used to explain and review results.

3. Local storage and Telegram requests

The token is stored in Chrome’s local extension storage, with access restricted to trusted extension contexts. Messages, rules, evidence, and execution records are stored in the browser’s local database. TGDog does not upload this extension data to a TGDog server or an external AI service, and does not use it for advertising.

The extension communicates directly with Telegram over HTTPS to receive bot updates and carry out actions you configure. Telegram processes those requests under its own policies. Local processing does not mean that Telegram’s services are bypassed.

Local storage is not an encrypted operating-system vault. Someone with access to your browser profile, device, or extension developer tools may be able to read stored data. Protect your device and token, and do not include tokens or private group messages in screenshots shared for support.

4. Retention and deletion

• Message cache: a rolling seven-day window, capped at 3,000 messages per bot and group.
• Evidence, logs, and completed execution records: scheduled for cleanup after 30 days. Unresolved action-recovery records are kept until recovery is resolved.
• Bot tokens remain locally until you disconnect the bot or clear local data. Rule settings remain until you clear the relevant local data. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage.

Cleanup runs while the extension is operating. Closing Chrome or suspending the device can delay cleanup. Disconnecting a bot deletes its stored token; the clear-data control deletes local records when no active action or unresolved recovery prevents safe clearing. Neither operation automatically removes the bot’s permissions in Telegram. Revoke permissions or reset a compromised token in Telegram itself.

5. Website visits and support

The website does not require an account and does not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or a contact form. Fonts and images are served with the website. Delivering web pages may involve processing technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, and server access logs, by the infrastructure serving the site. These requests do not contain your extension’s token or locally stored moderation records.

If you contact TGDog through the support link, the information you choose to share is used to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue. Send only the information needed for support. Telegram and other external services process information under their own privacy policies when you use their websites or messaging services.

6. Group members and your responsibilities

Group administrators choose which rules and actions to enable. Inform members about moderation practices and handle their information in accordance with your community rules and applicable requirements. TGDog can process only updates available to your bot; it does not provide access to arbitrary private chats or complete historical conversations.
