Your bot, connected locally.

Use a dedicated Telegram bot. Enter its token inside the TGDog extension; the website never asks for it. TGDog verifies the bot with Telegram and checks whether a webhook already receives its updates.

Resolve update-receiver conflicts

Webhook delivery and polling cannot receive updates at the same time. TGDog only removes an existing webhook after you explicitly confirm switching reception to the extension. One bot should be used by one receiving client or Chrome profile.

Your token stays in chrome.storage.local. This is local browser storage, not an operating-system encrypted vault.

Understand browser availability

Chrome must remain running, awake, and connected. Pending Telegram updates are retained for no more than 24 hours; extended downtime may leave gaps. TGDog does not read Telegram Web’s DOM or scan your entire chat history.

Check your setup

  • One bot should have one update receiver.
  • TGDog needs Chrome to remain awake and online.
  • Pending Telegram updates expire after no more than 24 hours.

Where to go next
